Abstract: The residents of Sewu Village (Surakarta District, Indonesia) have built infiltration wells to reduce the risk of flooding. Infiltration wells enable water to seep into the ground and can be used, for instance, to tackle flooding in watersheds (Kusnaedi, 2007)
