|Abstract:||Practical Action is a member of the Zurich Flood Resilience Programme, a multi-sectoral alliance focusing on helping communities in developed and developing countries strengthen their resilience to flood risk. These three case studies document experience of flood resilience building in Peru, Nepal and Bangladesh. The case studies cover: Farmer field schools - how simple technologies are reducing community vulnerability by providing food security and income generation; Empowering communities - how Practical Action is building capacity at local level to ensure community engagement in development.; School brigades - building the capacity of young people to take positive action in the face of disasters|
